Concerning news for Queenslander's with government debt edging towards $92 billion. The state government unveiled an $841 million net operating surplus for 2018-19, almost five times higher than the forecast of $148 million in last year's budget and $250 million more than the revised figure in the Mid Year Fiscal and Economy Review. Can anyone tell us why their forecasting is so far off? What's needed is better policy that works to pay down debt as a priority without passing on high service charges to the tax payer which appears to be the standard procedure for the Labor government. There will be an opportunity to change government with the state election in October 2020. #Debt #ForeignOwnership #DomesticAid #BetterPolicy #BetterFamilies ... See more
